The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a widely recognized exam that measures the English proficiency of non-native speakers who plan to study or work in English-speaking environments.
This course focuses primarily on two key components of the test: Speaking and Writing.

Program Process

1. Learner Level & Goal Diagnosis Establish a learning strategy based on the learner’s current English proficiency and target score.
2. Personalized Study Schedule Proposal Design an efficient study plan tailored to the remaining time until the exam.
3. Strategy Training with Exam-Specific Templates Practice repeatedly using templates optimized for each task type.
4. Full Mock Tests & Feedback Simulate real exam conditions, receive estimated scores and detailed improvement feedback.
5. Intensive Practice on Core Skills Reinforce high-scoring strategies and address weaknesses to improve scores.

A. IELTS Speaking (Class Flow)

In the Speaking section, our instructors are well-trained and experienced in guiding students based on the official IELTS assessment criteria. They help learners develop the fluency, coherence, vocabulary, and pronunciation needed to reach their desired band scores.

Vocabulary Introduction

Instructors introduce topic-related vocabulary and useful expressions for each part of the IELTS Speaking test.

In the heart of (place): the central part of a place. In/on the outskirts of (place): in/on the edge of a place. A stone’s throw away from: near. Highly urbanized: having many buildings and a lot of industry and business. Renowned for (sth.): famous for sth.  Thriving: characterized by success or prosperity. Child-friendly: sth. suitable for children. At (someone’s) disposal: available for sb. to use.
(Be) born and raised in (where): refers to where one's birth and childhood took place. I can’t stand (sth.): really dislike sth.  Spring up like mushrooms: increase in number suddenly and rapidly. (Experience/Enjoy) the best of both worlds: enjoy the benefits of widely differing situations at the same time. If my memory serves me right/If I vividly recall/Back then/Looking back: If I remember correctly (used in recalling past events).

Responding to Questions

Students are encouraged to incorporate the newly introduced expressions into their responses during practice activities and discussions.

Corrections and Feedback

Teachers provide immediate feedback by correcting mispronunciations, grammatical errors, and offering improved word choices to help students align their performance with their target band score.

A Part 2 Speaking topic is assigned as homework. Students are expected to prepare a structured response to present in the next session.

Recipe: cooking directions. A must-try: sth. is so good that you think people should try it. Mention different types of dishes: soup/minestrone, stew, savory, appetizer, etc.
Annual: every year. Long-established/ Long-standing: have existed for a long time. Essential/significant/ vital: important. (Less) Prevalent: (less) common. Delectable/Scrumptious/ Finger-licking: delicious. Piping hot: (of food) very hot. Home-cooked: made and eaten at home.
Have a whale of a time: enjoy. Play a part/role in (sth.): affect sth. Pique (someone’s) interest in/Have a keen interest in (sth.): make someone interested in sth. and want to know more about it. Paint the town red: go out & enjoy yourself by drinking alcohol, dancing, laughing with friends, etc. Prepare a meal: prepare food.

B. IELTS Writing

For the Writing section, students receive step-by-step instruction on how to effectively complete both Task 1 and Task 2. Lessons are tailored to the IELTS writing criteria, with an emphasis on structure, clarity, grammar, and vocabulary.
* Students may begin with either Task 1 or Task 2, depending on their preference.

Essay Types and Template Introductions

Tutors will introduce the different types of IELTS essays (e.g., opinion, discussion, advantages/disadvantages, etc.) along with appropriate templates and structures for each type.

Based on the lesson, students will be assigned writing tasks where they are expected to apply the templates and strategies introduced during the session.

Feedback and Corrections

In the following session, the submitted homework will be reviewed and corrected by the tutor. Feedback will be provided to help students make improvements aligned with their target band score.
